Job summary

Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools seeks an IT Technician II to provide on-site technical support for schools in accordance with district standards and the direction of the central IT department.

The role installs, configures, and troubleshoots district-owned client devices, AV gear, and network connectivity, maintains SLAs, and assists in equipment planning and surplus processes while upholding all policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; NC driver's license.
• Experience with Windows/macOS/ChromeOS/iOS/Android and common software.
• Ability to troubleshoot district-owned devices and AV equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot district-owned client devices and peripherals.
• Setup and support room presentation equipment and AV systems.
• Follow procedures for IT support requests and maintain SLAs.
• Assist in equipment procurement and surplus processing.
• Perform on-site IT support and basic network connectivity tasks.
• Maintain compliance with school policies.
