Job summary

Trane Technologies offers a 12-week Summer Internship in Technical Sales, giving you hands-on exposure to design, application, and sale of HVAC systems and building automation. You will collaborate with Sales Account Managers and mentors, attend sales meetings, and gain practical experience across North America.

Open to engineering students who are enrolled for the full duration, with US work eligibility, and a willingness to travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Willing to travel up to 15% and able to provide a valid driver’s license.
• Strong interest in technical sales and communication.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand the design, application and sale of HVAC systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Attend sales meetings and customer meetings alongside mentors.
• Learn the steps sales engineers take from start to finish on a job and be hands-on in those steps.
• Develop relationships with customers as a daily point-of-contact creating ownership in the solution-making process.
