Job summary

Travelers Technology & Life Sciences seeks an Account Executive Officer to partner with agents/brokers, drive profitable growth, and assess complex risk for new and renewal business. You will leverage technical knowledge and strong communication to build trusted relationships and deliver results.

The role requires 6–8 years underwriting experience, CPCU is preferred, and travel to meet clients is expected as part of driving sales and risk decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience.
• Deep knowledge of commercial lines products and regulatory environment.
• Strong critical thinking skills with ability to identify challenges and make timely decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and negotiation ability with agents and brokers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Foster and maintain relationships with external partners by meeting agents and brokers to market Travelers products.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with the Managing Director to develop regional plans.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
