Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Account Executive Officer (AEO) in the Technology Life Sciences segment. The role partners with agents and brokers to provide coverage for new and renewal business, serving as a technical resource with decisive, detail-oriented skills to drive profitability and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience in life sciences.
• Deep knowledge of life sciences products and local market.
• CPCU designation is preferred.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans.
• Maintain relationships with external partners by meeting agents/brokers in person.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative sales skills.
• Develop agency sales plans with the Managing Director to drive regional results.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
