Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Account Executive Officer in Technology to partner with agents and brokers, delivering tailored coverage for new and renewal business. The role requires strong risk assessment, relationship-building, and the ability to drive profitability in challenging markets.

You will work with internal teams and external partners to develop regional sales plans, travel for meetings, and train junior colleagues as needed. A CPCU designation is preferred along with a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience with commercial lines.
• Deep knowledge of commercial lines products and regulatory environment.
• Excellent communication skills for negotiation with agents and brokers.
• CPCU designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans.
• Meet with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products and write/retain accounts.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with MD input.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives.
