Job summary

Travelers is seeking a seasoned Account Executive Officer for National Accounts to partner with agents, brokers, and customers, underwriting and selling guaranteed cost and loss-sensitive coverages. You will manage a diverse book, develop sales plans, and travel to key meetings to build lasting relationships.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of underwriting experience, CPCU designation, and strong communication skills to drive profitability and growth in challenging markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and CPCU designation preferred.
• Excellent communication with agents and brokers.
• Strong critical thinking to identify underwriting challenges and make timely decisions.
• Proven negotiation skills in difficult situations with agents and brokers.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents, brokers, and customers to market and sell Travelers products; travel as needed.
• Develop agency sales plans in collaboration with MD to align regional strategies.
• May assist in training/account mentoring of junior Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
