Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 4 years of underwriting, claim, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of life sciences insurance products and regulatory environment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products and write/retain accounts within risk appetite.
• Identify new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with MD to build regional plans.
• Mentor less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
