Job summary

CLA is seeking a Controller with Technology Industry experience for our Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) practice. You will help clients transform their business by mitigating risk, meeting deadlines, and guiding workforce planning.

Responsibilities include GAAP expertise, internal controls, budgeting, financial reporting, and advising management. In-office role with travel to client sites; CPA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred but not required.
• 7 years of relevant work experience as a Controller or equivalent is required.
• Back-office accounting experience required.
• Technology industry experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Intacct).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of GAAP (FASB/SFAS) and financial/operational aspects of the technology industry.
• Develop internal control policies and procedures for budgeting, cash and credit management, and accounting.
• Coordinate and direct financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investment activities.
• Prepare financial information and statements, budgets, and regulatory reports.
• Advise management on financial objectives, policies, and actions.
• Regularly communicate with boards, bankers, investors, and stakeholders.
