Job summary

CLA, a national professional services firm, seeks a Controller for its CAAS practice. You will lead GAAP-driven financial processes, strengthen internal controls, and guide budgeting, cash management, and financial reporting in the technology sector.

Expect responsibilities spanning planning, forecasting, investment analysis, and KPI oversight, with collaboration across client teams and boards. A Bachelor's degree is required; CPA preferred. Travel locally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred but not required.
• 7+ years as a Controller or equivalent in a relevant setting.
• Public or private accounting experience; tech industry exposure a plus.
• Proficiency with accounting software (QBO, NetSuite, Intacct) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of GAAP and the technology industry's financials.
• Design internal controls and procedures for budgets, cash, and accounting.
• Direct financial planning, budgeting, procurements, and investments.
• Prepare financial information and statements for regulatory bodies.
• Evaluate funding needs and investment surpluses; make recommendations.
• Monitor KPI and the performance of accounting staff.
• Advise management on short- and long-term financial goals and actions.
• Communicate with boards, bankers, and investors; support board presentations.
