Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA) is seeking a Controller with Technology Industry experience to join our Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) practice in an in-office role in New York. You will lead financial planning, budgeting, and internal controls, ensuring timely financial statements and regulatory reporting for tech clients.

Strong GAAP knowledge and 7 years of relevant experience are required, CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred but not mandatory.
• 7 years of relevant work experience as a Controller or equivalent.
• Accounting back-office experience required.
• Technology industry experience highly preferred; public accounting experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Intacct and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of GAAP (FASB/SFAS) and financial/operational aspects of tech.
• Create internal control policies for budgeting, cash and credit management.
• Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, procurements and investments.
• Prepare financial information and statements for regulatory bodies.
• Monitor KPIs and supervise accounting staff; advise on financial objectives.
• Communicate with boards, bankers, investors; help prepare board materials.
