Job summary

CLA is seeking a Controller with Technology Industry experience to join our Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) practice. You’ll help transform client finance operations by managing GAAP compliance, internal controls, budgeting, and financial reporting.

The role requires 7 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree, and proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Intacct. Travel to local client sites is frequent; CPA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred but not required.
• 7 years of relevant work experience as a Controller or equivalent.
• Accounting back-office experience required.
• Technology industry experience highly preferred; public accounting experience a plus.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite and Intacct.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of GAAP (FASB/SFAS) and industry financials.
• Develop internal control policies and procedures for budgeting and cash management.
• Coordinate budgeting, procurements, and investment activities.
• Prepare financial information and statements for regulatory and internal use.
• Monitor KPIs and staff performance; advise management on financial objectives.
• Communicate with boards, bankers, and investors; support board presentations.
