Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA) is seeking a Controller with Technology Industry experience to join our Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) practice. You will lead financial planning, GAAP compliance, and reporting for technology clients.

You will collaborate with clients and internal teams to mitigate risk, optimize cash flow, and support business decisions while maintaining strong internal controls and preparing board communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred but not required.
• 7 years of relevant Controller experience required.
• Accounting back-office experience is required.
• Technology industry experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Intacct) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of GAAP (FASB/SFAS) and industry aspects for technology clients.
• Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for budget, cash, and accounting.
• Coordinate and direct budgeting, procurements, or investment activities.
• Prepare financial information and statements for regulatory and management review.
• Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and reports.
• Evaluate funding needs and investment surpluses; provide recommendations.
• Monitor KPIs and financial performance.
• Evaluate staff performance and implement improvements.
• Advise management on short- and long-term financial objectives and actions.
• Communicate with boards, bankers, investors; support board presentations.
