Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking a Controller with Technology Industry experience to join our Client Accounting & Advisory Services team. You will lead GAAP-based financial activities, implement internal controls, and guide budgeting and financial planning for technology clients.

The role emphasizes in-office collaboration, with opportunities to work with senior leadership, and may require local travel to client sites in the Las Vegas area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA certification preferred but not required.
• 7 years of relevant work experience as a Controller.
• Accounting back-office experience required.
• Industry experience in Technology is highly preferred; public accounting experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with accounting software: QuickBooks, NetSuite, Intacct.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Develop full knowledge of GAAP (FASB/SFAS) and deep understanding of the technology industry financials.
• Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for budgeting, cash and credit management, and accounting.
• Coordinate and direct financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investments for all or part of an organization.
• Prepare financial information and statements, or direct preparation of financial reports.
• Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
• Communicate with boards, bankers, investors, and stakeholders; prepare board presentations as needed.
