Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen LLP in Wisconsin is seeking a Controller with Technology Industry experience to join our Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) practice. As a Controller, you will help clients transform their business by implementing strong financial controls, budgeting, and reporting.

This role requires 7+ years as a Controller, a Bachelor's degree, and proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Intacct; CPA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred but not required.
• 7+ years of relevant Controller experience.
• Public accounting experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with GAAP (FASB/SFAS) and technology industry knowledge.
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Intacct) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop full knowledge of GAAP (FASB/SFAS) and deep understanding of financial and operational aspects of the technology industry.
• Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
• Coordinate and direct the financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investment activities for all or part of an organization.
• Prepare financial information.
• Prepare, or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies.
• Evaluate needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses and make appropriate recommendations.
• Monitor ratio and key performance indicators (KPI).
• Monitors and evaluates the performance of accounting and other financial staff, recommending and implementing actions.
• Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
• Communicate on a regular basis with boards, bankers, investors, constituents, etc.; may include prepping for and/or hosting board presentations.
