Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain of On Field Operations to drive exceptional athlete experiences on the sales floor. You will coach teammates, manage priorities, and deliver a consistent, athlete-first shopping experience.

Lead staffing, coaching, and scheduling while aligning with store goals and payroll targets. Promote merchandising standards and ensure a safe, respectful environment for customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of retail/customer-facing experience.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution on the sales floor with strong merchandising, pricing, and athlete experience. Coach teammates and manage priorities.
• Develop 30–60–90 day plans with leadership to support department priorities and budgets.
• Create schedules and staffing plans to meet athlete traffic while achieving payroll goals.
• Build and lead a team, coach performance, and ensure a respectful store environment for teammates and athletes.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention, and SOPs and ensure compliance.
