Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain of On Field Operations to lead the sales floor with strong merchandising and athlete experience. You will coach teammates, manage priorities, and deliver a consistent, athlete-first shopping experience.

Collaborate with store leadership to plan, schedule, hire, and develop direct reports while upholding safety and policy standards to drive store success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution across the sales floor by ensuring strong merchandising, pricing, and athlete experience in all customer-facing areas.
• Coach teammates, manage priorities, and deliver a consistent, athlete-first shopping experience.
• Develop 30-60-90 day plans with the SM and ASM to support business priorities and staffing needs.
• Build and lead a strong team through sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention; ensure training and compliance.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention and SOPs, holding teammates accountable for standards.
