Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain of On Field Operations to lead execution on the sales floor, coach teammates, and deliver an athlete-first shopping experience. You will oversee merchandising, pricing, and customer interactions to drive store performance.

You will build schedules, manage priorities with store leadership, onboard new teammates, and ensure safety and policy compliance while fostering a high-energy, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by advising on products and assortment.
• Uphold merchandising standards, floor sets, pricing, and inventory presentation.
• Promote and lead company programs (loyalty, warranty, private label)(enrollment).
• Contribute to 30-60-90 day plans with store leadership for department priorities.
• Build schedules and staffing plans to meet athlete traffic and goals.
• Lead and develop teammates; coaching, feedback, and reviews.
• Ensure safety, loss prevention, and policy compliance.
