Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is hiring a Team Captain of On Field Operations who will lead the sales floor, coach teammates, and deliver a consistent athlete-first shopping experience. You will work with store leadership to drive merchandising execution and prioritize customer needs.

You will build and develop a strong team, oversee onboarding and performance management, and ensure adherence to safety and store policies while achieving operational and financial goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1–3 years of retail experience.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution across the sales floor by ensuring strong merchandising, pricing, and athlete experience in all customer-facing areas.
• Coach teammates, manage priorities, and deliver a consistent, athlete-first shopping experience.
• Develop, hire, and onboard teammates; provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention, and store policies while meeting staffing and payroll goals.
