DICK’S Sporting Goods, Inc. is seeking a Team Captain of On Field Operations to lead execution on the sales floor, coach teammates, and deliver an athlete-first shopping experience.

You will oversee merchandising, pricing, and customer engagement to ensure consistency across departments in a high-energy environment. You will manage scheduling, performance coaching, and daily operations with a focus on achieving store goals while maintaining exceptional service and operational standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by providing product information and guidance on assortment.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards with floor sets, signage, and price changes.
• Lead programs such as loyalty, warranty sales, and credit card enrollment.
• Contribute to 30-60-90 day plans with store leadership to support priorities.
• Help establish staffing plans and budgets to meet goals.
• Oversee store operations including open/close, Front End, and supervision.
• Communicate goals and workload to teammates and optimize scheduling.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to meet payroll and financial targets.
• Build a strong team and lead recruiting, onboarding, and development.
