Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods in the United States is seeking a Team Captain of On Field Operations to lead merchandising and the athlete experience on the sales floor. You will coach teammates, set priorities, and deliver an athlete‑first shopping journey that aligns with store goals and budgets.

You’ll develop schedules, monitor performance, ensure safety, and uphold policies while guiding staff through daily operations.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent
1-3 years of retail or customer-facing experience
Previous people leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by anticipating athlete needs and providing clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, replenishment standards, etc.
Promote and lead company programs (i.e., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.).
With the SM and ASM, contribute to the development of 30‑60‑90 day plans to support business priorities for assigned department(s).
Help establish working plans related to operational initiatives, staffing, hiring needs, operational and merchandising sets, etc. in accordance with established budgets and financial goals.
