Job summary

Crossover seeks an experienced Teacher Leader to co-manage a full public-school classroom in partnership with a district teacher. You will design and lead project-based workshops, motivate students, and help peers develop effective instructional practices.

You will work in person at a participating public school in Springfield, MA or Houston, TX, bringing your classroom leadership and mastery-based approaches to a scalable model with potential impact beyond the current cohort.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as the primary teacher responsible for a public-school class of 20-30 students.
• Experience leading, coaching, or developing other educators in a public-school setting.
• Experience designing and delivering a project-based learning unit with clear objectives and assessments.
• Proven ability to build a classroom culture based on ownership, clear expectations, accountability, and using data to drive progress.
• Strong interpersonal judgment and the ability to influence experienced peers without formal authority.
• Willingness to work in person at Springfield, MA or Houston, TX; relocation welcome and US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strong student outcomes in a full public-school classroom.
• Help a district teacher build capability to run Alpha's model independently.
• Model practices, coach in the moment, and share effective approaches with the partner teacher.
• Track daily student data and adjust instructional strategies based on evidence.
• Collaborate with the partner to scale the model across classrooms.
