Job summary

Alpha is seeking experienced public-school educators to lead a full classroom alongside a district teacher in Springfield, MA or Houston, TX. You bring deep classroom experience, a track record of developing other educators, and the ability to model new practices in real time as you co-own student outcomes and classroom culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as primary teacher responsible for a public-school class of 20–30 students.
• Bachelor's degree in any subject and a teaching license from any state; license expired no more than 5 years ago qualifies.
• Experience leading, coaching, or developing other educators in a public-school setting.
• Experience designing and delivering a project-based learning unit with clear objectives and assessments.
• Ability to build classroom culture based on ownership, clear expectations, accountability, and data-driven adjustments.
• Willingness and ability to work in person in Springfield, MA or Houston, TX; US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Co-own the day, outcomes, and classroom culture with a district teacher.
• Design project-based learning workshops to develop future-ready skills.
• Coach the partner teacher in real time to build confidence in the model.
• Track student data daily and adjust approach based on data.
• Model Alpha practices and help the partner teacher grow independently over time.
