Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is offering a Trainee program to complete the majority of vehicle body repairs under the supervision of a Mentor Metal Technician. Trainees are evaluated on curriculum progress and I-CAR training, with level-end assessments every six months to advance through stages.

Working within our WOW framework, trainees gain hands-on experience while preparing for future opportunities in collision and glass repair.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Trade or vocational school graduate preferred.
• On-the-job experience preferred.
• I-CAR Gold Class certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Complete weekly I-Car classes.
• Be prepared for upcoming assessments.
• Maintain organized tool box.
• Protect non-repair areas from dust and overspray.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicles.
• Refit bolt-on parts such as bumpers and grills.
• Assist mentors with repair process.
• Restore repaired areas to OEM specifications.
• Check parts for accuracy and notify discrepancies.
