Job summary
Gerber Collision & Glass offers a hands-on entry into the auto body field through the Technician Development Program. You will work with experienced technicians to learn dent removal, sanding, painting, and safety practices, setting a foundation for growth in collision and glass services.
The 30-day trial precedes an 18-month program designed to build skills and professional readiness, with mentorship and progressive responsibilities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Trade/Vocational school graduates preferred
- Some on-the-job experience is preferred
- I-CAR Gold Class preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist in performing basic auto body repairs, including dent removal, sanding, and painting under the supervision of experienced technicians.
- Learn to use and maintain tools and equipment properly to ensure safety and efficiency in the workplace.
- Participate in vehicle inspections to identify damages and develop repair plans.
- Collaborate with team members to complete repair projects within specified timelines and quality standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
