Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass invites applicants to join a 30-day trainee period that leads into an 18‑month Technician Development Program. You will work with an experienced technician to learn basic dent removal, sanding, and painting while gaining insight into auto body repair.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or trade/vocational training, are at least 18, and are eager to learn, with safety and teamwork as core values. Compensation is hourly, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Trade/Vocational school graduates preferred.
• Some on-the-job experience is preferred.
• I‑CAR Gold Class preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing basic auto body repairs, including dent removal, sanding, and painting under the supervision of experienced technicians.
• Learn to use and maintain tools and equipment properly to ensure safety and efficiency in the workplace.
• Participate in vehicle inspections to identify damages and develop repair plans.
• Collaborate with team members to complete repair projects within specified timelines and quality standards.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Must be at least 18 years of age

Lift up to 50 pounds

Stand for long periods

Stooping / kneeling / crouching

Inspect vehicle damage

Handle vehicle parts

Interest in automotive industry
