Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking qualified physicians to perform TBI C&P examinations for Veterans. The role involves reviewing records, conducting detailed evaluations, and completing VA DBQs with precise, objective reports.

Expect adherence to VA and HIPAA standards and collaboration with clinical teams to ensure timely submissions. Ideal candidates hold an MD or DO, board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R, and an active state license.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Board Certified in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry).
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
