Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to perform Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension examinations, review records, and document findings for VA DBQs. The role requires no prescribing, treatment planning, or follow-up care, with flexible scheduling and collaboration with clinical and administrative teams.

Requirements include MD/DO, board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R, and an active license. Competitive compensation and supportive environment are offered.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with eligible state license.
• Board certification in one of the specified specialties.
• Proficient documentation and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive TBI C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records and supporting docs.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological and physical residuals.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires accurately.
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards and HIPAA.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure timely submissions.
