Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician (MD/DO) to perform Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension examinations for Veterans. You will review medical records, conduct evaluations, and prepare precise reports in compliance with VA and HIPAA requirements.

The role requires board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry, and an active, unrestricted license in the practicing state. Flexible scheduling options are available, with no prescribing or ongoing patient management

Qualifications

MD or DO degree required.
Board Certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry).
Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations.
Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
