Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to conduct Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations and complete VA-required documentation in the United States. No prescribing or ongoing patient management is required, and HIPAA compliance is essential.

Responsibilities include reviewing records, assessing cognitive and neurological residuals, and preparing thorough reports while collaborating with teams for timely submission.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in state of practice.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals of TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and admin teams for timely submission of evaluations.
