Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to perform Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations, review Veterans' records, and document residual impairments. The role involves no prescribing or treatment planning, but high-quality reporting and compliance with VA standards are essential.

The position emphasizes flexible scheduling (full-time, part-time, or PRN), with administrative support and no on-call duties. An unrestricted license in the practicing state is required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Board Certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R.
• Active, unrestricted license in the state of practice.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive TBI C&P examinations.
• Review VA medical records, imaging, and documents prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals of TBI.
• Complete VA DBQs accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
• Ensure VA/HIPAA/state compliance.
• Collaborate with teams to submit evaluations on time.
