Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a licensed MD or DO to perform Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations for VA requirements. You will review medical records, conduct evaluations, and document findings without providing treatment or follow-up care.

This role emphasizes accurate reporting and strict compliance with VA, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations while collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R.
• Active, unrestricted license in the practicing state.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Experience with VA C&P examinations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and physical residuals from TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately.
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA, HIPAA, and regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and admin teams to ensure timely submissions.
