Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to perform Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations and prepare VA-required documentation. You will review records, assess cognitive and functional residuals, and complete detailed reports.

MD/DO with board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R and active CA license. Full-time, part-time, or PRN schedules offered, with no prescribing or ongoing patient management and administrative support. No on-call duties.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board Certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
