Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking physicians to conduct Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension examinations for Veterans. The role involves reviewing records, performing detailed assessments, and completing VA-DBQs with precise documentation.

The position requires MD or DO with board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R, and an active license in the state. You will produce objective reports and ensure timely submission within VA guidelines.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the practicing state.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
