650 UHY Advisors Midwest, Inc. seeks a Tax Principal to lead our tax practice in the United States. You will guide high-level client engagements, shape innovative tax strategies, and mentor a talented team of professionals to deliver outstanding advisory services.

You will oversee engagement progress, budgets, and deadlines, stay ahead of evolving tax laws, and collaborate with firm leadership on strategic growth and client development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 8+ years of progressive tax leadership experience in a CPA firm or related professional service environment.
• CPA license.
• Responsible for completing the minimum CPE credit requirement.
• Specific positions may require additional industry or specialization certifications.

Responsabilités

• Develop cutting-edge tax planning strategies leveraging industry insights and regulatory expertise.
• Provide insights in tax optimization, risk management, and emerging tax trends.
• Review and oversee the preparation of tax returns for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and manage tax filing deadlines, extensions, and other compliance requirements.
• Manage engagement progress, budgets, and deadlines with strategic adjustments.
• Stay abreast of evolving tax laws and apply to client engagements and training.
• Lead client meetings and tailor tax strategies to client goals.
• Mentor and guide a team of seasoned tax professionals.
• Lead process improvements to enhance tax workflows and quality control.
• Drive business development through client leads and proposals.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives.
• Supervise subordinate team members.
