Job summary

BDO USA, LLP in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Tax Manager for Core Tax Services to advise clients on tax implications of business objectives and optimize tax strategies. The role involves managing compliance, researching tax issues, and providing written tax guidance to clients.

You will lead tax projects, supervise staff, and nurture client relationships while applying tax policy knowledge and Firm standards. CPA/EA and 5+ years experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics; Master’s preferred.
• Five or more years of tax experience; supervisory experience required; CPA/Attorney/EA preferred.
• Experience with tax research databases and tax compliance software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on tax implications of business objectives and tax planning.
• Oversee tax compliance and ASC 740 (FAS 109, FIN 48) processes.
• Provide written tax advice and contribute to client communications.
• Develop and implement efficient tax consulting strategies; manage staff and client relationships.
• Lead strategy development and tax optimization initiatives for clients.
