BDO USA is seeking a Tax Manager, Core Tax Services. You will advise clients on tax implications of business objectives and evaluate actions to reduce tax burden and compliance costs.

You will serve as the primary client contact for complex tax issues while supporting marketing, networking and business development within your area of expertise. In this role you will apply knowledge to identify potential risks and communicate changes in tax policy, with opportunities to provide written tax advice

Responsibilities

• Ensures clients comply with authorities while minimizing tax and reporting burdens.
• Conduits top level review of tax returns and resolves issues with the client; involves specialists where appropriate.
• Plans and reviews the tax process and procedures: budgeting, staffing, and timely billing.
• Manages client relationships and expectations; provides timely tax advice.
• Identifies when research is needed and reports the analysis concisely.
• Applies ASC 740, FAS 109 and FIN 48 policies; discusses components of income tax provision with clients.
