Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a Tax Manager for Core Tax Services to advise clients on tax implications, manage engagements, and lead cross-functional teams. You will analyze complex tax issues, communicate risks, and contribute to business development within your tax specialty.

The role requires extensive tax experience, supervisory capabilities, and CPA/EA or equivalent certification. The position emphasizes client contacts and written tax guidance within a firm-wide tax framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics required; Master’s preferred.
• Five+ years of relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting experience required.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• CPA/Attorney/EA or equivalent required; other degrees/certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on tax implications of business objectives and risk.
• Lead and manage tax engagements, including budgeting, staffing and billing.
• Develop written tax advice and provide client contact for complex issues.
• Market, network and develop business within tax specialization area.
• Supervise and train associates and seniors; delegate tasks effectively.
