Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a Tax Manager, Core Tax Services to advise clients on tax implications of business objectives and to manage complex tax issues. This role involves evaluating tax approaches, communicating risks, and supporting client service teams and written tax advice.

The Manager will also contribute to marketing, networking, and business development within their area of expertise, and may provide written guidance to clients. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; major in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation preferred
• CPA certification or equivalent required or preferred
• Five+ years of relevant tax experience; supervisory experience required
• Ability to develop and manage a team of tax professionals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on tax implications of business objectives
• Evaluate and select tax planning alternatives to reduce burden
• Serve as primary client contact for complex tax issues
• Lead tax compliance reviews and coordinate with specialists
• Oversee budgeting, staffing, and time/billing processes
• Provide written tax advice and support with audits or examinations
