Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Manager in Core Tax Services to advise clients on tax implications of business objectives and oversee comprehensive tax compliance processes. The role focuses on evaluating actions to reduce tax burdens, communicating risk, and guiding client teams through ASC 740-related activities.

The position also involves marketing, networking and business development within tax specialties, and providing written tax guidance to clients as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics required; Master’s preferred.
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
• Five+ years of relevant tax experience and/or public accounting or consulting experience required.
• CPA, Attorney (admitted to practice in US) or Enrolled Agent (or equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on tax implications of business objectives and communicate potential risks.
• Lead tax compliance reviews, ASC 740/FAS 109 and FIN 48 discussions.
• Develop and manage client relationships and expectations throughout engagements.
• Provide written tax advice and support with exam-related matters.
