Confident Search Consultants, a U.S.-based manufacturer, is seeking a hands-on Tax Manager focused on ASC 740 and coordination of outsourced tax functions. The role centers on owning the income tax provision and serving as the internal quarterback across external advisors (RSM), sales tax providers (Avalara), and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• ASC 740 income tax provision experience.
• Experience in C-Corp federal and state tax compliance.
• Familiarity with outsourced tax environments (Big 4 / regional firms).
• Working knowledge of Avalara or similar sales tax systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual ASC 740 tax provision with current and deferred calculations.
• Perform provision-to-return true-ups and variance analysis.
• Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations.
• Act as primary liaison with external tax advisors (RSM).
• Review federal and state income tax returns and workpapers.
• Oversee outsourced sales tax compliance processes and filings.
• Support audits and respond to tax authority inquiries.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and planning strategies.
• Develop systems to track regulatory changes.
