Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. is seeking a Store Supervisor to help manage one or more locations within a district.

Under general supervision, you will oversee seasonal hourly staff, recruit, interview and hire when applicable, and ensure pricing and service standards. You will maximize customer service and sales, handle administrative tasks, schedule hours, monitor performance, review reports, maintain filing systems for tax returns, and distribute client checks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; management or tax-related coursework preferred.
• Past experience in tax preparation or accounting is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience desired.
• Proficiency with basic computer software including email, browsers, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervises seasonal hourly staff at locations within the assigned area.
• Communicates with management on recruiting, interviewing and hiring seasonal staff.
• Maximizes customer service and increases sales.
• Performs administrative functions.
• Develops, reviews, approves, and monitors office work schedules and hours.
• Monitors associate performance to ensure quality, deadlines, and procedures.
• Reviews productivity and related reports and takes corrective action.
• Maintains filing system for tax returns (acknowledged, rejected, complete).
• Prints client checks each morning and distributes refunds timely.
• Follows up with void/hold tax returns to encourage filing.
