Responsibilities

  • Embody LaBelle Winery Core Values at all times.
  • Hire, train, and manage Market staff effectively.
  • Advise staff on resolving client issues and delivering customer service.
  • Manage staff schedules and day-to-day Market operations.
  • Ensure Market cleanliness and orderly front/back of house areas.
  • Oversee customer interactions to boost loyalty and reputation.
  • Maintain SOPs and update operations as needed.
  • Drive sales and growth initiatives and ensure brand messaging consistency.
  • Manage online/internet sales, POS systems, and shipping orders.
  • Analyze and report sales data; ensure accounting and inventory procedures are followed.
  • Create attractive product displays and greet visitors to promote wine, market food, and merchandise.
  • Handle purchasing, shipping documents, and wine shipments to reciprocal states.
  • Maintain monthly wine and merchandise inventory and coordinate vendor orders.
  • Collaborate with Market chef to develop seasonal menu items and gift basket programs.
  • Oversee Gift Card program and donations; support Market and LaBelle Lights activities.

Job description

Successful candidate will be personable, dynamic, engaging, highly energetic individual who is outgoing and knowledgable about the wine and food industry. Having excellent representation of the LaBelle Winery Brand is imperative.

Market management responsibilities will include:

  • Embodies our Core Values at all times
  • Effective hiring, training, and managing of Market staff
  • Advising staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service
  • Manage staff schedules
  • Manage day to day Market operations
  • Ensure the Market is properly cleaned and cared for such that all back and front of house areas are neat, clean and orderly at all times
  • Manage all customer interactions at the Market to ensure an outstanding experience. Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation and repeat customers
  • Maintain standard operating procedures for the Market and develop operations to be updated annually or as needed
  • Drive initiatives for sales and growth plans
  • Ensure consistent and appropriate brand message is effectively communicated at all times
  • Manage internet/phone sales, POS system and shipping orders company-wide
  • Analyze and report sales information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure adherence to accounting and inventory procedures
  • Create beautiful displays for the Market
  • Greet visitors, promote the sale of wine, market food and merchandise
  • Handle routine purchasing transactions
  • Prepare shipping documentations, when applicable, and ensure that wine is shipped to reciprocal states only and that correct shipping procedures are followed
  • Responsible for monthly wine and merchandise inventory
  • Coordinate with vendors and order supples, as needed
  • In concert with Market chef, develop new menu items based on seasonality and customers preferences
  • Preparation of and Ordering of gift basket supplies
  • Responsible for Gift Basket program and growth of same and Gift Card Program
  • Other duties as assigned

LaBelle Lights management:

  • Ordering merchandise
  • Display and management of merchandise
  • Decorating the property seasonally
  • Accounting credit card tips for Market/LaBelle Lights

WineMakers Kitchen:

  • Efficiently manage The Winemaker’s Kitchen line of products and packaging of items in a timely manner
  • Management of inventory related to The Winemaker’s Kitchen so that product is always in stock, working with kitchen to manage
  • Manage co-packers as needed for ordering
  • Develop a plan to begin distribution of The Winemaker’s Kitchen products locally in 2024
  • Develop sales plan for 2025 that includes distribution to East Coast wineries
  • Define the product line
  • Continue relations with co-packers
  • Manage product collaborations to increase brand awareness (such as Natalie’s)

Tasting Room (s):

  • Embodies our Core Values at all times
  • Effective hiring, training, and managing of Tasting Room staff.
  • Educate staff in the fields of wine, sales, shipping and all company policies.
  • Manage staffing schedules
  • Manage day to day tasting room operations.
  • Manage all customer experiences at Tasting Rooms to ensure an outstanding experience.
  • Sell WC and VC memberships. The next release is October for WC memberships.
  • Plan the Vineyard Club Harvest at the end of September.
  • Coordinate with Events for Tastings during events
  • Responsible for scheduling PT&T’s and GT’s.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures for tasting room and develop operations to be updated annually or as needed.
  • Drive initiatives for sales and wine club growth, and be accountable for performance.
  • Ensure consistent and appropriate brand message is effectively communicated at all times.
  • Manage internet/phone sales, POS system and shipping orders
  • Analyze and report sales information in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting and inventory procedures
  • Create displays for Tasting rooms.
  • Maintain email list.
  • Greet visitors to the winery, promote the sale of wine and merchandise, describe wines and winemaking techniques and provide general tourist information.
  • Handle routine purchasing transactions
  • Prepare shipping documentation, when applicable, and ensure that wine is shipped to reciprocal states only and that correct shipping procedures are followed.
  • Responsible for monthly wine and merchandise inventory.
  • Ordering of gift basket supplies.
  • Responsible for Gift basket/Gift Cards for donations for the managers.
  • Ordering retail supplies such as logo glasses, Honey, Oils/Vinegar/Pasta, retail bags, tissue, chocolate etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Full time. Days, weekends, holiday availability
Salary: 55k-60k annual, bonus eligible
