Job summary

LaBelle Winery in Amherst, NY is seeking a personable, energetic server/bartender to provide outstanding guest service during daily events and dining experiences.

You will welcome guests, maintain a lively event ambiance, collaborate with kitchen and bar staff, and help create memorable experiences through menu recommendations and prompt service. The role requires staying active, lifting, and handling cash and POS transactions on Toast.

Qualifications

• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced, fine dining environment.
• Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure in collaboration with support staff and kitchen staff.
• Able to perform high quality work while unsupervised.
• Able to handle money accurately and operate a point of sale system.
• Must be able to lift 45lbs regularly.
• Must have ability to tolerate physical activity including standing for long periods, bending, walking and other physical activity.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests with a smile and welcoming attitude.

• Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Ensuring food and beverage requests are met.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct orders.
• Retaining/memorizing the event menu, and provide recommendations for food, wine or beverages.
• Refreshen food and beverage buffets.
• Properly storing and caring for banquet equipment.
• Deliver a memorable event experience by resolving all customer issues promptly.
• Assist with tidying of tables and clearing tables.
• Set tables and arrange event areas to accommodate larger groups and prepare for special occasions.
• Handling routine purchasing transactions including operating cash registers
• Operate point of sale system; Toast
