Job summary

LaBelle Winery is seeking an energetic, guest-focused server to welcome guests and deliver an exceptional dining experience in a vibrant winery setting in New York. You will take orders, curate recommendations, and coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure accurate and timely service.

This role requires standing for long periods and the ability to lift 30lbs, with shifts during evenings, days, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced, fine dining environment.
• Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure with support staff and kitchen staff.
• Able to perform high quality work while unsupervised.
• Able to handle money accurately and operate a point of sale system.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests with a smile and welcoming attitude.
• Maintain dining ambiance with an enthusiastic manner.
• Adhere to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Taking customer food and drink orders.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct orders.
• Retain/memorize the menu, and provide recommendations for food, wine or beverages.
• Deliver a memorable dining experience by resolving customer issues promptly.
• Assist with tidying and clearing tables, setting tables, and assembling utensils.
• Set tables and arrange dining areas for larger groups and special occasions.
• Handle routine purchasing transactions including operating cash registers.
• Operate point of sale system; Toast.
• Prepare other related duties as assigned

Essential Responsibilities:

• Greeting guests with a smile and welcoming attitude
• Maintain dining ambiance with an enthusiastic manner.
• Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Taking customer food and drink orders
• Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct orders
• Retaining/memorizing the menu, and provide recommendations for food, wine or beverages.
• Deliver a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly.
• Assist with tidying of tables and clearing tables, setting tables, and assembling utensils.
• Set tables and arrange dining areas to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for special occasions
• Handling routine purchasing transactions including operating cash registers
• Operate point of sale system; Toast
• Prepare other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Bartending and/or server experience (2 + years)
• Food service certificate (optional)
