Job summary

Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians is seeking a line cook to prepare, season, and cook sauces, meats, vegetables, and other items using standardized recipes. You will plate dishes for service while maintaining appealing presentation and food safety.

A strong focus on teamwork, guest experience, and adherence to service standards is required. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, handle hot line and buffet stations, and comply with MICS and tribal safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Two years’ experience in institutional food preparation with broiling, sautéing and frying.
• Must pass periodic random drug screens.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to guests and employees by exceeding mission.
• Prepare raw products or prepared food items and serve them.
• Clean and sanitize workstation and ensure health and safety standards.
• Coordinate guest checks for fast, efficient service.
• Work hot line and/or buffet preparation stations.
• Follow standardized institutional recipes and maintain equipment knowledge.
