Job summary

Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians is seeking a Cook to prepare sauces, meats, vegetables and other items using standardized recipes, and to present meals appealingly. You will assist in training kitchen staff and uphold safety and sanitation standards in a busy facility.

Responsibilities include line cooking, station setup, serving guests, and supporting a clean, efficient kitchen while following tribal service commitments and health guidelines.

Qualifications

• Two years of institutional food preparation experience.
• Experience with broiler, sauté and frying techniques preferred.
• Must be able to follow standardized recipes and maintain quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and uphold health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare raw or prepared food items.
• Serve prepared food and maintain plate presentation.
• Clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Assist in training cooks, prep cooks, and pantry staff.
