Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) in Memphis, TN, seeks a Tanker Trailer Mechanic with 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience. Shift hours are Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM. Pay ranges from $22 to $36 per hour based on experience, with reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience.
• Diagnose failures and perform repairs on mechanical/electrical systems.
• Tank service, Betts valves, gaskets, suspension work.
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs.
• Use handheld diagnostic tools and basic tech skills.
• MIG & TIG aluminum and stainless steel welding.
• Ability to inspect tanks/trailers to DOT HM183 hazmat standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and tank trailer systems.
• Perform tank service, valve maintenance and gasket work.
• Install and repair trailer suspensions.
• Inspect trailers to ensure DOT HM183 compliance and hazmat readiness.

We are currently searching for DOT inspector mechanics with 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience!

Shift Hours:Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay Range: $22.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.


• Tank service and repair, Betts valves, gaskets


• Trailer suspension installation and repair


• Experience with air brake systems and repairs


• Ability to use handheld diagnostic tools, tablets, basic tech skills


• MIG & TIG aluminum and stainless steel


• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds


• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds


• Must be able to fit through a 16\" tank trailer manhole


• Must be able to work in confined spaces
