Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI), a global leader in Tank/ISO Tank Container Services, is seeking a DOT inspector mechanic in Memphis, TN. This role requires 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience and a hands-on maintenance approach.

Responsibilities include diagnosing failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems, and ensuring DOT HM183/hazmat compliance. Pay ranges from $22.00 to $36.00 per hour, with reviews every 6 months and opportunities for increases.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical systems on tank trailers.
• Ensure DOT HM183 compliance and hazmat readiness.
• Perform valve, gasket, and suspension work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and perform repairs on tank trailers.
• Inspect tanks/trailers to ensure DOT HM183/hazmat compliance.
• Repair air brake systems and suspension components.
• Use diagnostic tools and hand-held devices for troubleshooting.
• Maintain records and participate in safety programs.
• Assist with Betts valves and gasket replacements.

We are currently searching for DOT inspector mechanics with 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay Range: $22.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair, Betts valves, gaskets
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• Ability to use handheld diagnostic tools, tablets, basic tech skills
• MIG & TIG aluminum and stainless steel
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a 16" tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
