Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking DOT inspection certified mechanics with 3 to 5 years tanker repair experience for our Griffin, GA location. Shift hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and pay ranges from $18.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• DOT inspection certified mechanic with 3–5 years tanker repair experience.
• Experience diagnosing failures on mechanical, electrical, or tank trailer systems.
• Ability to inspect tanks/trailers for DOT compliance (HM183, hazmat).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and perform repairs on tank trailers and related systems.
• Repair tank service components and trailer suspensions as required.
• Work with air brake systems and perform welding as needed (TIG optional).
• Ensure inspections align with DOT standards and documentation.

We are currently searching for DOT inspection certified mechanics with 3 to 5 years of tanker repair experience!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay Range: $18.00 to $35.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.


• Tank service and repair


• Trailer suspension installation and repair


• Experience with air brake systems and repairs


• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)


• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds


• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds


• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole


• Must be able to work in confined spaces
