Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking a DOT inspection certified Tanker Mechanic in Griffin, GA to service and repair tanker trailers.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical systems, perform tank service and suspension work, and ensure compliance with DOT HM183 hazmat standards. Shift: Mon-Fri 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; pay range: $18.00–$35.00 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• DOT inspection certified mechanic with 3–5 years tanker repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and repair mechanical and electrical systems on tank trailers.
• Perform tank service and tank trailer repairs.
• Install/repair trailer suspension components.
• Inspect tanks and trailers to meet DOT HM183 hazmat standards.

We are currently searching for DOT inspection certified mechanics with 3 to 5 years of tanker repair experience!

Shift Hours:

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay Range: $18.00 to $35.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.


• Tank service and repair


• Trailer suspension installation and repair


• Experience with air brake systems and repairs


• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)


• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds


• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds


• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole


• Must be able to work in confined spaces
